Alessia Cara was born to Italian parents on July 11th, 1996. Her first guitar was purchased by her parents when she was 10, which ignited her passion for music. In the age of 13, she started covering songs she loved on YouTube to prove to her fans that she was talented and brave enough to pursue a career as a musician. A cover of one of her songs, Sweater Weather, was what got her noticed. EP Entertainment gave her the opportunity to create and compose her own music.
