In 2015 at 19 she released her debut single, Here. It was a hugely acclaimed track by critics as well as the public. The Canadian Hot 100, and Billboard Hot 100, ranked it at 19. Even Rolling Stone called the song one of their Top Songs in the year 2015. That same year she debuted her debut album Know It All, the song Scars to Your Beautiful ranked at the Billboard Hot 100 and Canadian Albums Chart Billboard 200. The track was also among the first five songs. This track was special due to her Rap-Up interview she gave many of people who listened to her music could relate to her experience in learning to love themselves and doubting her. Cara's music often contains positive thoughts about mental wellness and the importance of loving oneself. The music of Cara is directly from her struggles with mental illness, insomnia as well as other problems. In an interview with Reuters, she described her album as "half turbulent" as well as "half perfect". The growth of her career was helped by therapy. She advises other people when they need to reach out for assistance. Alessia Cara is a Canadian artist who was born July 11 1996 to parents of Italian descent. Her parents gave her a guitar when she was 10, and it ignited her love for music. She began covering the songs she loved at 13, to prove to that world that she had the skills and the confidence required to become an artist. Sweater Weather is one of these covers which led to being discovered at the time by EP Entertainment. This record label allowed her create new songs of her own.
