At the age of 19, she published her first debut single Here. It was a huge success and was praised by critics and listeners alike. That same year, she dropped her debut album Know It All with the third song Scars to Your Beautiful being one of five original tracks which reached the top of Billboard charts including those of the Canadian Albums Chart Billboard 200 as well as the Billboard Hot 100. It was a special track due to her interview with Rap-Up that she gave many of her listeners were able to identify with her journey of finding love for themselves, and doubting her. Cara has a reputation for her messages on emotional health, kindness, and self-love into her music. The inspiration for her music stems from her personal struggles to conquer mental health issues and insomnia. According to an Reuters interview, her album is described as halfway tumultuous, half perfected. She describes her growth through therapy and she encourages anyone else to seek out help when necessary. Alessia Cara, a Canadian musician was born in Canada on the 11th of July 1996 to Italian parentage. At the age of 10 old, her parents gifted her a guitar which became the starting point of her musical passion. In the age of 13she began covering songs she liked on YouTube in order to show people that she was a talented artist and had the courage to make a profession of a musician.
