Her debut single Here in 2015, when she was just 19. The track was highly praised by critics as well as fans. It peaked at number 19 on the Canadian Hot 100 and Billboard Hot 100. Even Rolling Stone named the track one of the top Songs of the year. This is the same year that she dropped Know It All. Scars to Your Beautiful is one of the five tracks that were the first to reach the Billboard charts. This particular track was special due to her interview with rapper Rap-Up, many of the listeners related to her journey of self-doubt, and her journey to learn how to be a better person. Cara's songs contain messages of love, self-love and mental health. She has been struggling with anxiety and insomnia, both of which have influenced her journey. Reuters said that she described the album "half turbulent, and half finished". She claims she has grown by therapy and is adamant about encouraging other people to get help when necessary. Alessia Cara is a Canadian artist who was born July 11 1996 to parents who are of Italian heritage. The guitar was gifted to her from her parents at the time she was 10, which ignited her musical passion. A few years later, at 13 she began covering her favorite songs through YouTube one of the biggest media platforms in order to demonstrate to the world that she possessed the talent skills and determination to develop into a professional singer. Indeed one of the covers Sweater Weather got noticed by a label known as EP Entertainment which allowed her to write and create songs.
