In the year 2015, at age 19, she released her debut single, Here. The track received praise by music critics as well as listeners. The song peaked at number 19 in both the Canadian Hot 100 as well as the Billboard Hot 100. Even Rolling Stone called the single one of its Best Songs in 2015. That same year she debuted the album she titled Know It All, the single Scars to Your Beautiful ranked in the Billboard Hot 100 and Canadian Albums Chart Billboard 200. It was also among the first five songs. The song was unique due to the fact that many listeners were able to relate to the interview she did with rapper Rap-Up on her journey to learn to love and embrace her. Cara is known for incorporating the themes of mental health and kindness and self-love into her songs. All of it is a result of her personal experience as she been battling mental health issues and insomnia. According to a Reuters' interview, she's described her album as half-tumultuous and half-perfected. Her growth was aided by therapy and encourages other people to seek assistance if needed. Alessia Cara grew up in Toronto, Canada. Her birth date was July 11th, 1996 to parents with Italian origins. Her parents gave her guitar at the age of 10 years old, which ignited her love for music. A few years later, at the age of 13 she started covering her most loved songs via YouTube a major media platform to prove to the world she had the talents and courage to become an artist. Indeed one of the covers Sweater Weather got noticed by a label known as EP Entertainment which allowed her to write and create the songs.
