She released her debut single Here in 2015 when she was aged 19. The single was a success and was praised by both listeners and critics alike. In the Canadian Hot 100, and Billboard Hot 100, ranked the single at 19. Even Rolling Stone named the hit one of the Best Songs of the year. In that same year she debuted her album Know It All with the third single Scars to Your Beautiful being one of the five original songs which reached the top of Billboard charts. This includes those of the Canadian Albums Chart Billboard 200 and Billboard Hot 100. It was a special track since, in light of her Rap-Up interview she conducted, many of people who listened to her music could connect to her experiences of discovering their own love and rethinking their beliefs about her. Cara is famous for including the themes of mental health and kindness and self-love into her songs. Everything stems from her personal journey as she has suffered from mental health problems as well as insomnia. In a Reuters interview, she's described her album as half-tumultuous however, it is half finished. She claims she has grown through therapy, and encourages anyone else to seek out help when they need it. Alessia Cara is a Canadian artist who was born the 11th of July, 1996 to parents from Italian heritage. Alessia Cara's parents bought her an instrument when she was 10. It was the beginning of her journey in music. She began to cover the songs she loved at 13, to prove to that world that she could sing and had the courage necessary to be the next singer. Sweater Weather is among those covers that led to her being noticed by EP Entertainment. This record label let her write the songs she wrote herself.
