Andrea Jeremiah

Andrea Maria Jeremiah is an Indian actor, playback vocalist and musician, who is most often in Tamil and Malayalam movies that are based on the Tamil language. Her first appearance as an actor was in the Tamil film Pachaikili Muthucharam, and her Malayalam debut was with Annayum's Rasoolum. Andrea Jeremiah comes from an Anglo-Indian background. She was born to an Madras High Court attorney. There is a younger sister who resides in Leuven Belgium as researcher assistant. Jeremiah comes from Chennai. She attended National Public School, and then graduated Women's Christian College. Andrea started studying classical piano when she was eight. Andrea was a huge geek who wanted to become a psychiatrist. Young Stars was the Jackson Five band Andrea joined when she turned age 10. It led to her first professional singing experience and her early musical composition. Also, she was a theatre student at her school and was a part of several performances staged through The Madras Players and EVAM. She was president of The Women's Christian College's Student Senate. Andrea's stage career started with Girishkarnad's Nagamandala. She appeared in the Leo Coffee commercial with Shiva. She was also on Podhigai Channel, a television serial. Her performances have been all over India. She was briefly featured in Kanda Mudhal's finale (2005). When she sang a tune in Gautham Vasudev Menon's Vettaiyaadu he asked her to play as the main female characters in his next film Pachaikili Muthucharam. The film was an adaptation of James Siegel's novel Derailed. It featured Andrea as Kalyani who is a housewife whose husband engages in a sexual affair and gets targeted by a blackmailer. Andrea was approached by Simran Shobana's death and Tabu. The film was first released in 2010. In August 2011 Venkat Prabhu made his debut with the multi-starrer Mankatha. She was asked to fill a smaller part in the film. Annayum Rasoolum was Rajeev's romantic flick from 2013.
